Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-28
These terms are the agreement between you and Eazylet Solutions (Pty) Ltd for your use of Vumelo. Please read them before you sign up. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.
1. Accepting these terms
When you tick the box at signup, create an account, or use Vumelo, you agree to these terms and they become a binding contract between you and us. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business, and “you” means both you and that business.
2. Who we are, and some definitions
Vumelo is operated by Eazylet Solutions (Pty) Ltd (private company registered in the Republic of South Africa, registration 2025/780828/07 (registered with the CIPC, South Africa)), of 3 Raglan Street, Oakdale, Bellville, Western Cape, South Africa. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean Eazylet Solutions (Pty) Ltd. “The service” means the Vumelo website, apps, tools and content. “Your content” means the property data, figures and documents you enter or upload. “The tools” means the grading, deal-analysis and cash-tracker features.
3. Eligibility, your account and keeping it secure
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into a contract to use Vumelo. You must give accurate account details and keep them up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password and login secure, and for everything done under your account. Tell us at getinfo@mystudenthouse.co.za as soon as you think someone has used your account without permission.
4. The service, and your licence to use it
While your account is active and paid up, we give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Vumelo for your own accommodation business. You may not resell, sub-licence or share your access.
The tools are decision-support. The grading, deal-analysis and cash-tracker outputs are indications based on the inputs you give, to help you make your own decision. They are not financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice, and they are not a guarantee of accreditation, funding or any outcome. Get your own professional advice before you act.
5. Subscriptions, pricing and billing
Vumelo offers a free Compass Starter plan (a 14-day full trial of every tool, then free forever) and two paid subscriptions: Compass Pro (R399/month or R2,990/year) and Compass Portfolio (R899/month or R6,990/year). All prices are billed in South African rand. We are not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added. Subscription charges are non-refundable; see the Refund Policy. Prices are shown in ZAR. Some features may be charged per deliverable and are billed as you use them.
Paystack processes all payments. We do not see or store your full card number. By subscribing you authorise us, through Paystack, to charge your chosen payment method for each billing cycle until you cancel. If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend the service until it clears.
6. Auto-renewal and cancellation
A monthly plan renews automatically at the end of each month and continues until you cancel it. You may cancel at any time by giving us 20 business days’ notice, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of that notice.
If you take a fixed-term plan, it may carry a reasonable cancellation penalty for the benefit you have already received when you cancel early, worked out fairly and not as a charge that stops you cancelling. On its expiry a fixed term converts to a month-to-month plan on the same terms unless you tell us otherwise. We will notify you between 40 and 80 business days before a fixed term ends, so you can decide whether to continue. No fixed term will run for longer than 24 months.
See our Cancellation Policy for how to cancel, and our Refund Policy for what happens to amounts already paid.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use Vumelo for anything unlawful; try to get around our login, access controls or rate limits; probe, scan or test the service for weaknesses without our written permission; scrape, crawl or bulk-extract data from the service; upload malware or harmful code; or upload content you have no right to use. We may investigate and act on any suspected breach, including reporting unlawful activity to the authorities.
8. Your content and documents
You keep ownership of your content. You give us a licence to store, copy and process it only as needed to run the service for you, including running the tools and creating backups. You are responsible for the information you upload, including information about other people such as tenants or students, and you confirm you have the right and any needed consent to give it to us. How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
9. Our intellectual property
The Vumelo app, its grading and deal engines, its content, design, name and logo are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. These terms give you a right to use the service, not any ownership in it. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from the service except to the extent the law allows.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service and the tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, as decision-support. We do not warrant that the outputs are error-free or fit for a particular decision, or that the service will be uninterrupted.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act. Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or business, and our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if a payment stays unpaid, or if we must do so to protect the service or comply with the law. You may close your account at any time as set out in section 6 and the Cancellation Policy. When your account ends, your licence to use the service stops. We keep and then delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy, and you can ask us for a copy of your content before it is deleted.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of the Republic of South Africa have jurisdiction. If a dispute arises, please contact us first at getinfo@mystudenthouse.co.za so we can try to resolve it. This does not affect any right you have to refer a matter to the National Consumer Commission or a consumer tribunal or ombud under the Consumer Protection Act.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we make a material change we will update the “last updated” date and, where the change affects your rights or what you pay, ask you to review and accept the new terms before you carry on using the service.
14. The record of this agreement
We keep an electronic record of the terms you accepted and the version and date you accepted them, as the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (s43) requires. You can ask for a copy of the terms that applied to your account at any time by contacting getinfo@mystudenthouse.co.za, and the current version is always available on this page.
