Vumelo is a web application for accommodation providers and the people NSFAS touches. It runs accreditation and grading tools, deal analysis, a cash tracker, reminders and a news feed to help you prepare and manage compliant student and social housing. It is decision-support software; it does not grant accreditation or give legal, tax or financial advice.

Vumelo offers a free Compass Starter plan (a 14-day full trial of every tool, then free forever) and two paid subscriptions: Compass Pro (R399/month or R2,990/year) and Compass Portfolio (R899/month or R6,990/year). All prices are billed in South African rand. We are not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added. Subscription charges are non-refundable; see the Refund Policy.

All prices are shown in South African rand (ZAR). As we are not VAT-registered, no VAT is added. The full price for the plan you choose, including any per-deliverable charges, is displayed on the plans page and again at checkout before you confirm.

Payment is by debit or credit card, processed securely by our payment provider Paystack. We do not store your full card number on our systems. Recurring subscription charges are collected by Paystack on the billing cycle set out for your plan.

Subscriptions run for a minimum of one billing cycle, as set out for your chosen plan (see the prices above). After that they renew automatically for further cycles until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and your access continues to the end of the paid cycle; see the Cancellation Policy and the 20 business days notice it describes.

Before you confirm and pay, the checkout page shows the plan, the full price including taxes, and the billing cycle. You can go back and change or correct any of these before you finalise the order, as ECTA section 43(2) requires. No payment is taken until you press the confirm button.

When you subscribe we keep a record of the transaction: the plan, the amount, the date, and the payment reference from Paystack. These records are stored in our systems and by Paystack. You can view your current plan and billing history on your account page, and you can ask for a copy of any transaction record by emailing getinfo@mystudenthouse.co.za. We keep billing records for the period the law requires.
